Meet the Team
All our dentists adhere to the rules governing the profession under strict guidance from the General Dental Council (GDC) "Standards for Dental Professionals".
Prash Patel - Principal Dentist GDC No. 69461
I qualified from Manchester Dental school in 1993. I have been principal dentist at Beech Lane Dental Care since 2008.
My main interests in dentistry are dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and preventive dentistry. I have over 20 years’ experience in helping patients feel relaxed and comfortable and my goal is to give my patients the right advice to help prevent any problems with their teeth and gums. Having attended many training courses on implants and cosmetic dentistry throughout the world, I have the skills and experience to give my patients the smile they have always wanted, thus enabling them to smile and eat with confidence.
I am a past chairperson of the Reading Section of the BDA and still sit on the BDA committee helping to organise seminars for other dentists in and around Reading. I am a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.
I am married to Ritu and we have two children, Niam and Sunay, both energetic boys with whom I spend most of my free time, unless I am hacking my way around a golf course.
Ritu Patel, BDS Bristol 1993, DPDS, Bristol 2003 GDC No. 69282
Before joining the practice in Feb 2009, Ritu worked in two other practices following vocational training.
Ritu enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a special interest in orthodontics. She took a further orthodontic course as part of her diploma course at Bristol University (DPDS). She also held a Clinical Orthodontic Assistant post at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.
Outside of work Ritu is married to Prash and they have two energetic boys who take up most of her spare time. When she can Ritu likes socialising with friends, going to the gym and travelling.
Donna-Marie Willmott - Practice Manager GDC No. 180032
I have worked as Prash and Ritu’s Dental nurse since 2008 and became practice manger in Jan’19 after Carol retired. I Love the new role and am very proud of the close knit team at beech Lane –Beech Lane family. I have two daughters and when not at work is a very busy mum. I enjoy swimming, and socialising with family and friends.
Emma Geddes - Qualified in 1994, London GDC No. 4689
I have been a hygienist since September 1994, and have worked with the Beech Lane team since January 2009. I have known Prash and Ritu for many years prior to this.
My role at the practice is to work with Prash and Ritu to provide dental health care tailored for each patient. This includes gum health, diet advice to prevent dental decay and brushing techniques. My most important role is showing the patient the best way to keep teeth free from plaque and help maintain that healthy smile.
My home life is always busy with the family. To relax I like to go the gym or go for a run. Reading a good book is always a treat.
Marlene - Receptionist
Before joining the Beech Lane team in 2008, Marlene was employed by HM Revenue and Customs for 23 years.
She has two sons and has been married to Kevin for over 35 years.
Marlene loves being part of the Beech Lane team and is proud to welcome new and existing patients to the practice. In her free time, Marlene enjoys long walks in foreign lands, socialising with family and friends and Zumba classes.
Natalie Pike - Dental Nurse GDC No. 139771
Natalie has been a member of the Beech Lane team since 2013 and has been a qualified dental nurse since 2004. She has known Prash and Ritu for many years and used to babysit their boys. She enjoys all aspects of her job and especially likes assisting with implants. She is married to Karl and they have two children. When not working Natalie loves to watch Star Wars and other space odyssey films.
Andrea Povodova - Dental Nurse GDC No. 243420
Andrea joined Beech Lane in 2019. She enjoys dental nursing with all the different treatments offed by the practice, especially implants. Andrea and her partner Alex have two children. Outside work Andrea enjoys spending time with her family.
Janice Parker - Receptionist
Janice joined Beech Lane in 2014 and loves being part of such a great team. She especially enjoys seeing a patient who has had a fear of dentists for many years come out of Prash’s or Ritu’s surgery relaxed and smiling. Outside of work Janice enjoys spending time with her family, going to the gym and reading.
Pav Narwal - Dentist (BDS MFDS RCSEd PGCertDedEd)GDC No. 264512
Pav has been working at Beech Lane Dental Care since 2020. After graduating from the University of Manchester in 2016, he gained extensive experience in both primary and secondary care settings across the country.Through postgraduate training in dental hospitals, he has developed an interest in oral surgery and orthodontics. He has also presented his work internationally and been published in dental journals. Pav continues to engage with further training opportunities, as he endeavours to provide high quality, advanced care for his patients.
His kind, gentle approach has often been recognised and his patients and colleagues have previously nominated him for 'excellence in patient care' awards. His core belief in dentistry focuses on good communication and empathy, with the patient being at the centre of each treatment plan.
Pav is passionate about running, which he fits in around a busy work schedule, by regularly participating in short and long-distance organised runs. In a past life he was also a professional dancer and met his wife on a wedding dancefloor in 2016.
Miss Michelle Novales - Hygienist GDC No. 172117
(Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy University of Leeds 2013 NVQ L3 Dental Nursing & VRQ L3 Dental Nursing City & Guilds 2008)
Michelle gained her qualification at University of Leeds in 2013 with dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy and has since undertaken postgraduate training in teeth whitening.
Michelle joined the team at Beech Lane Dental Care in 2020 and is also working at a private specialist practice in Oxford.
Michelle's professional interests are the prevention and treatment of periodontal disease and the motivation and education of patients to achieve good oral health. As part of the dental team, Michelle is keen on helping patients improve their oral health prior to commencing cosmetic dental treatment or advanced restorative dentistry such as dental implants and orthodontics. Michelle is also involved in care pathway of patients' ongoing treatments by providing supportive care on maintenance visits.
Recognising the importance of continuing professional development, Michelle is committed on attending postgraduate courses and continually reviews evidence- based clinical studies to ensure all treatment and care is provided to the highest standard. Michelle is also a member of British Society of Dental Hygienists and Therapists and participates in the Thames Valley Dental Hygienists and Therapists regional study group.
Michelle is passionate about Christ and is involved in dental outreach ministries. In 2018, she has provided emergency treatment and dental education to the homeless and people in poverty. Michelle also provided dental treatments to children in need and to those that have no access to dental care at her most recent trip to Nepal in 2019. Michelle enjoys travelling with a purpose and endeavours to continue with dental outreach in the future.
