Prash Patel - Principal Dentist
GDC No. 69461

I qualified from Manchester dental school in 1993. I worked in 2 practices in Kent and Camberley before settling in a practice in Lower Earley where I stayed for 12 years, before taking over Beech Lane Dental Care.

My main interests in dentistry are cosmetic dentistry, endodontics and preventative dentistry. My goal is to give you the right advice to help you prevent any problems with your teeth or gums and I have the skills and experience to give you the smile you have always wanted, thus enabling you to smile and eat with confidence.

I am a past chairperson of the Reading Section of the BDA and still sit on the BDA committee helping to organise seminars for other dentists’ in and around Reading. I am a full member of the British Academy of cosmetic dentistry and a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry.

I am married to Ritu and we have 2 children, Niam and Sunay, both energetic boys with whom I spend most of my free time, unless I am hacking my way around a golf course.

Carol - Practice Manager

I have worked in the Dental Profession for over 18 years and have been part of the Beech Lane Dental Care team since 2008, and I love it. I especially enjoy the one to one contact with all of our patients, and helping them with any advice regarding their treatment.

I have been married to Peter for 31 years and we have 3 grown up children and a dog! Lucy is 27 and twins David and Hollie are 24 and Willow (our dog) is 9.

I enjoy golf and badminton and holidaying with friends, exploring different destinations every year.

Marlene - Receptionist

I joined the Team as a receptionist in 2008. I enjoy helping to make people feel confident with their smile. Previously, I was employed by HM Revenue and Customs for over 23 years and was not always able to obtain a smile!

I am married to Kevin and we have 2 children. Sam is 19 and is just graduating from university and Kyran is 22.

My hobbies are travelling, dancing and healthy eating.

Hazel - Receptionist

I joined Beech Lane Dental Care in September 2008 as a receptionist after working 18 years at the Auto Trader.

It has been a pleasure seeing people that are initially nervous go into to see Prash and smiling when they come out.

I have been married to David for 30 years and have a son Graham who is 26 and a daughter Helen who is 21and has just graduated from university.

Donna - Dental Assistant

I have worked as a Dental Nurse for 3 years now and I really enjoy my job. For the past year I have been studying for my Dental Nurse exam and took my finals in May 2009. I get great job satisfaction in seeing patients benefit from the treatment they receive at our practice.

My hobbies include cycling, swimming and travelling with my fiance Steven

Ritu Patel, BDS Bristol 1993, DPDS, Bristol 2003

Before joining the practice in Feb 2009, Ritu worked in two other practices following vocational training.

Ritu enjoys all aspects of general dentistry with a special interest in orthodontics. She took a further orthodontic course as part of her diploma course at Bristol University (DPDS). She also held a Clinical Orthodontic Assistant post at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital, Winchester.

Outside of work Ritu is married to Prash and they have two energetic boys who take up most of her spare time. When she can Ritu likes socialising with friends, going to the gym and travelling.

Gail - Hygienist

I trained as a hygienist in Aldershot attached to the army and qualified in 1977. I attend many post graduate courses to keep up to date with the latest techniques. I am highly motivated and love the rapport I build up with my patients, helping to put them at ease and giving them the treatment and information that ensures healthy teeth and gums.

I joined the Beech Lane Dental Care team in 2008 and love the working environment of the practice.

I have been married to Phil for over 27 years and we have two children, Charlotte is 26 and Danny is 24.

I enjoy pilates, golf and holidaying with friends.
